NTT DOCOMO and EVERING will release EVERING, a smart ring compatible with Visa touch payment, at select docomo Shops from early May onward.
EVERING” is a ring-shaped wearable device with a cashless function that allows users to make contactless purchases without having to take out their wallets, credit cards, or smartphones, and can be used for shopping at convenience stores and commercial facilities. In the future, the system will also be compatible with public transportation systems such as buses and trains.
The payment feature has an expiration date, similar to a credit card, and expires in four years. When it expires, the purchase must be made again.
There are two types of usage fees: the Flat-rate plan and the Standard plan, which can be used by purchasing the “EVERING” unit.
