Odakyu’s Capital Investment Plan for FY2024. Installation of platform doors at Sagami-Ono and 4 other stations, introduction of 2 Type 5000s, etc.

Odakyu Electric Railway announced its railroad business capital investment plan for FY2024.

To strengthen safety measures, we will continue to install platform doors. In addition, reinforcement work will be conducted at Gotokuji, Chitose-Funabashi, and Kitami stations to install platform doors.

Seismic reinforcement will be performed on the JR Yokohama Line overpass and Sakai River Bridge between Machida and Sagami-Ono Stations and on the elevated bridge between Setagaya-Daita and Noborito Stations, and on the platform upper houses at Tamagawa Daigaku-mae, Sobudaimae and Zama Stations. The deteriorated paint film will be repainted on the Sakaigawa Bridge between Shinmatsuda and Kaisei Stations.

Security cameras will also be installed on trains, and this fiscal year, two express trains and 32 commuter trains will be equipped with security cameras. A system that allows passengers to view images in real time from inside the train will also be constructed.

In the area of service enhancement, the company continues to build new and upgraded commuter railcars. Two new 5000 class trains will be introduced, one of which will be equipped with track equipment monitoring equipment. In addition, renewal of the Type 3000 trains, including installation of free space and energy saving, will be carried out on three trains this fiscal year.

In addition to the installation of platform doors at Chuorinma Station, the company plans to reduce the gap between the train boarding gates and widen the up platform. In addition to the installation of platform doors at Chuorinkan Station, the company will also reduce the gap between the train boarding gates and widen the up platform.
