Gakken-no-Kagaku Outdoors” is published for the first time. The first in the series is a fire-starting and bonfire experiment kit.

Gakken released “Gakken’s Science Outdoor Ready-to-Use Hands-on Kit: Bonfire Challenge” on May 23, 2012.

This book is the first in a new series of “Gakken no Kagaku” books with kits, “Gakken no Kagaku: Outdoor”. The set includes tools and materials to experience fire starting with the included metal matches and sunlight, flame reaction experiments with copper ink colored paper, and flower charcoal making using nuts and vegetables.

A hands-on guidebook supervised by the camp unit “CAMMOC” explains each experimental procedure in an easy-to-understand manner. A video can also be played from the 2D code.

It also includes columns on how to grow a basic fire, various ignition methods, the mechanism of the flame reaction, and what charcoal is.
