On June 18, Telecom Square began selling the “WiFiBOX Purchase Package,” which includes the main unit and a “slot usage license” for the WiFiBOX, a self-service Wi-Fi rental system that allows users to rent and return mobile Wi-Fi routers without contact.
The WiFiBOX and a license to use the slots can be combined to create a communication environment at a lower cost than building a free Wi-Fi facility. 5, 12, and 24-slot WiFiBOXes are available, and the initial purchase must be for two of each type at the same time. Thereafter, additional boxes can be purchased in quantities of one.
The release of the package is intended to enable municipalities, public institutions, and businesses to secure mobile communication environments in response to the increase in the number of tourists.
