On June 20, Navitime Japan added “Ride Mode,” a free function that displays maps and road information, to its dedicated motorcycle navigation app “Touring Supporter by NAVITIME.
This is a function that notifies users of road information during driving by voice guidance and on-screen display without having to specify a route. It is provided free of charge to meet the needs of users who do not need route guidance on roads they know, but want to use maps.
When the map screen is displayed, intersection magnification, lanes, and signboard information can be viewed on the map, and the system can also provide voice notification of road information while the vehicle is in motion.
In the future, the company plans to expand the functionality, and is considering adding functions such as notifications of recommended information while driving, and functions linked with “Touring Supporter by NAVITIME”.
