Michi-no-Eki Springs Hiyoshi (8 Nakamiyanomukai, Hiyoshi-cho, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture), operated by Kato Leisure Group, will reopen on July 11 as “DOD RIVERSIDE BBQ” in collaboration with outdoor brand “DOD” in the day-trip barbecue area of the facility. The new barbecue area will be reopened on July 11, 2012.
In addition to trying out DOD’s camping gear, including tarps, tables, chairs, and cooking items, for which DOD does not have a physical store, gas grills from Weber, an American BBQ grill brand, will be available. Three plans using locally produced ingredients and a seating-only plan will be available.
The facility is also equipped with camping fields including “DOD CAMP PARK KYOTO,” a natural hot spring “Hiyoshi Onsen,” a heated swimming pool, a souvenir shop, a vegetable market, etc. The first 300 pairs of visitors will receive an original cold storage tote bag and a weekday bathing ticket as a commemorative gift for the renovation.
