Jetstar Airways will hold an Australia route sale from 12:00 p.m. on July 17 to 16:59 p.m. on July 30. The sale is valid from August 13 to December 20, 2012 (with some exclusions).
During the period, one-way fares on the Japan-Australia route will start at 20,500 yen. Fares are economy class “Starter,” and payment fees, airport charges, and taxes are not included.
This sale is part of Jetstar’s campaign to promote Australia as a place where travelers can travel without worrying about the time difference, because it seems so far away but is actually so close. Jetstar operates 52 flights a week on five routes between Narita and Cairns/Brisbane and between Kansai International Airport and Sydney/Cairns/Brisbane.
