NAVITIME Japan has started providing IC compatible locker vacancy information in JR East area stations on “NAVITIME” (Android/iOS version) and “NAVITIME for SUGOTOKU”. This service is available at more than 100 stations, including major stations.
The app allows users to check locker locations and the number of available lockers by size on a map or in a list view from the app’s route search results or station details screen (not available for some stations). The app is said to be useful in situations where you want to leave luggage smoothly, such as at stations you are not accustomed to using or at terminal stations where there are multiple lockers.
