Ojiya City, Niigata Prefecture, announced that the “70th Anniversary of the City’s Establishment and the Great Chuetsu Earthquake Reconstruction Memorial Festival,” scheduled for August 31, will be canceled due to Typhoon No. 10.
Because stormy weather is expected before and after the festival, the city will cancel events related to the “70th Anniversary of the City’s Establishment and the Great Chuetsu Earthquake Reconstruction Memorial Festival,” including a display flight by the Blue Impulse, a specialized team of the Air Self-Defense Force, due to the need to prioritize local evacuation measures and disaster response systems.
