Agora Hospitalities announced on September 10 that it has partnered with Dorsett Hospitality International to develop a new brand, Dorsett by Agora. Dorsett by Agora Osaka Sakai (3-1-1 Ohamakita-machi, Sakai-ku, Sakai, Osaka), the first of its kind in the Japanese market, will open in the spring of 2025.
Dorset Hospitality International is a hotel group with 54 properties in 22 cities in China, Hong Kong, Australia, the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and Europe. Its four main brands are Dorset Hotels, Dao by Dorset, Dee Collection, and Sirka Hotels.
Dorset by Agora Osaka Sakai is the 10th Agora hotel in Japan. It is a 37-minute train ride from Kansai International Airport, a 10-minute train ride from Namba, the center of Osaka’s Minami district, and a 5-minute walk from Sakai Station on the Nankai Main Line, making it easily accessible to the Mozu and Furuichi Tumulus Group, a World Heritage site.
The hotel is an 11-story building with 321 guest rooms, including 289 twin rooms, 20 king bedrooms, 8 suites, and 4 barrier-free rooms. Ancillary facilities include a restaurant, seaside terrace, lobby lounge, and conference rooms.
