On October 1, JAL and Leadinx began selling travel insurance for which subscription procedures can be completed on the JAL Mileage Bank application (JMB application).
By introducing Fusion, an insurance sales system provided by Leadinx, a subsidiary of SoftBank, to the JMB application, the JMB application can offer a variety of insurance products without the need for individual system integration with each insurance company.
The initial lineup will be underwritten by Zurich, and will include three products: “Overseas Travel Insurance” (from 1,080 yen for basic plan), “Domestic Travel Insurance” (from 536 yen for basic plan), and “Ski and Snowboard Insurance” (from 386 yen for basic plan). The various insurance plans are available in three types: the Casual Plan, Basic Plan, and Anshin Plan, and can be purchased even for one-day trips. Miles can also be accumulated for domestic and overseas travel insurance.
