ZIPAIR to begin service to Houston with four flights a week starting March 2025; commemorative one-way fares starting at 39,000 yen

ZIPAIR Tokyo announced that it will begin service on the Narita-Houston route on March 4, 2025. For the time being, the route will be operated four times a week, with tickets on sale from October 10, 2012 at 12:00 pm.

This is the company’s tenth destination in six countries. In North America, the airline currently operates flights from Narita to Los Angeles/San Francisco/San Jose/Vancouver, and with the addition of the Houston route, the number of flights will expand to five routes and 27 flights per week.

Fares start at 188,500 yen for “ZIP Full-Flat Value,” a full-flat seat, 55,250 yen for “Standard Value,” a standard seat, and 15,000 yen for “U6 Standard Value,” a flat fare for children under 6 years old.

In addition, a campaign to commemorate the launch of the service will begin at 12:00 p.m. on October 10, 2012. The promotion is valid from March 4 to 29, 2025, with fares starting at 39,000 yen (limited number of seats).

Shingo Nishida, President and Representative Director, explained the current situation, “For North American routes in the first half of 2024, the Vancouver route has a booking rate of over 95%, and the Los Angeles route is performing very well at around 90%.

He continued, “So far, we have been operating routes that take around 10 hours one way and 24 hours round trip back to Narita. Houston takes about 28 hours to return to Narita, depending on the westerly winds. We hope to break through the farthest point, Los Angeles, and become a “medium-haul LCC” connecting Japan, Asia, and North America, and to be used by customers in Central and South America as well,” he said enthusiastically.
