Cookhouse, a bakery operated by Dia, will start selling “Okan Pan” branded with “Osaka Okan” on its popular milk bread, which sells 3,000 units a day, at the AEON MALL Sakai Kitahanada store of MUJI on November 1.
Okanpan, which went on sale at all Cookhouse stores in July, has become a popular Osaka souvenir, with many stores selling out before noon immediately after its release, and increased production during the tourist season.
To make it easier for customers to purchase the products for the New Year’s holiday season, they will be newly available at MUJI on the first floor of AEON MALL Sakai Kitahanada (4-1-12, Higashi Asakayama-cho, Kita-ku, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture).
In addition, it is now available at 19 other Cookhouse stores, including Cookhouse Hankyu Sanbangai, Abeno Cuse Mall, and Namba Walk stores.
Priced at 972 yen per box of 6 pieces. The box contains 3 pieces of the standard milk flavor with 4 layers of custard cream woven into a fluffy and moist texture, and 3 pieces of the chocolate flavor, a limited edition of Okanpan. The shelf life is 14 days from the date of manufacture. The bread is individually wrapped for easy distribution to family and friends, and all 12 “Osaka Okan Words” are printed on the bag.
