The “Blue Cave SHIBUYA” Executive Committee will hold the illumination event “Blue Cave SHIBUYA” from December 6 to 25. The event will be held at a total length of approximately 900 meters from Shibuya Park Avenue to the zelkova trees in Yoyogi Park, and the lighting hours will be from 17:00 to 22:00.
The event was held from 2016-2019 and 2022-2023, with a cumulative total of over 15 million visitors. The number of bulbs installed is estimated to be approximately 600,000 (127 bulbs in all).
This year, the 10th anniversary of the event, a giant spherical balloon “Blue Cave – THE SNOW DOME -” will appear in Yoyogi Park as the centerpiece of the event. In addition to projecting images of snow globes onto the balloon, there will also be other tricks before and after the illumination is turned on.
