Namba Parks and other areas to be illuminated with approximately 1,000,000 lights “Namba Hikari Tabi” until February 16; AR underwater tour event to be held again this year

Nankai Electric Railway and Takashimaya are holding the Namba area illumination “Namba Hikari Tabi” until February 16, 2025 (except January 1, 2025). Lighting hours are from 17:00 to 24:00 at Namba Parks, Namba Parks South, Namba Skyo, Namba Carnival Mall, Parks Street, and Takashimaya Osaka Store.

The 13th “Namba Hikari Tabi” will use approximately 1 million LED bulbs. Many new performances, such as projection mapping that resembles a lantern soaring into the sky, will appear near “Namba Parks South,” which will be opened in 2023.

At Namba Skyo, the illumination returns for the first time in three years. The neon artwork at the Namba Carnival Mall, designed by students of Osaka Mode Gakuen, will triple in size from the last time.

Also this year, “Illumination Diving,” a walk tour-type experience that combines illumination and augmented reality (AR), will be held again. The participation fee is 800 yen, with priority given to advance reservations, and the tour takes 10-15 minutes.
