Thermos’ first “soup mug. Made of resin, lightweight, microwavable 220/320mL

Posted on 2024-11-272024-12-15 by Editor in Chief

Thermos will release the “Soup Mug (DJU-220/320)” on December 1. The price is open.

This is the first Thermos soup mug that makes it easy to carry soup. The body weighs only 0.1 kg because it is made of resin, and although it does not have a heat-retention function, soup can be reheated in a microwave oven. The lid has a screw-on construction for secure closure. The lid has a screw-on construction that closes securely, and is designed with a rounded mouthpiece with an easy-to-hold handle. It is dishwasher-safe and consists of only the body, lid, and gasket, making it easy to clean.

The company has been selling vacuum-insulated soup jars with a thermos bottle structure since 2009, but the development was prompted by a survey conducted by the company, which found that approximately 60% of respondents wanted to drink soup prepared at home for lunch at work, and that in addition to leak resistance, many also wanted a soup container that was “microwave-safe” and “lightweight. This led to the development of the new product.

The lineup includes the DJU-220 (220 mL capacity) and the DJU-320 (320 mL capacity), each available in three colors: almond beige, foggy blue, and foggy pink.
