Keihin Electric Express Railway and the Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau will conduct a demonstration experiment of a credit card touch payment service starting December 21.
Passengers can enter and exit the station by touching their card or smart phone with the card set to the terminal at the dedicated automatic ticket gate or ticket gate counter. Passengers can also cross over between Keikyu Line and Toei Line. The fare is the regular passenger fare in 10-yen increments, but no transfer discount is applied.
The six brands covered are Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay, with Mastercard to be added in the future. Usage history can be checked on the “Q-move” website.
The following stations will be available.
