Awajiya launches “JR Freight Container Lunchbox Osaka no Yakiniku Hen,” featuring Model 19D containers

Posted on 2025-01-032025-02-04 by Editor in Chief

Awajiya will release “JR Freight Container Lunchbox: Osaka Yakiniku Edition” on January 4. The price is 1,680 yen.

Starting with the first JR Cargo Container Lunchbox, “Sukiyaki in Kobe,” which was released in 2022, this is the fourth edition, following the “Sea bream rice in Akashi” and “Chicken rice in Kyoto” editions.

The container-style container is decorated with a motif of JR Freight’s Model 19D and printed with the Eco-Rail mark and the letters JRF, and is filled with Osaka-inspired grilled meat and namul.

In addition to Awajiya stores, the bento will be sold at Kyoto Station, Shin-Osaka Station, some “Tabibento” stores in Osaka Station, Tokyo Te Station “Ekiben-ya” and the “60th Annual Original Famous Ekiben and All Japan Good Food Festival” held at Keio Department Store Shinjuku Branch.

Orders will be accepted at the Awajiya online store from January 4 at midnight, and each Awajiya store will also accept layaway reservations.
