Hotel New Otani (4-1 Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will sell an original handkerchief collaborated with the pastry store “Patisserie SATSUKI” and the German lifestyle brand “FEILER” as a limited set with “Ultimate Shortcake”. The sales period is from January 27 to February 14. Reservations will be accepted on the official Web page from January 17 at 10:00.
The original FEILER collaboration handkerchief was released last fall to commemorate the hotel’s 60th anniversary. The original handkerchief, made of chenille, a traditional German textile, and featuring a cute representation of the hotel’s signature sweets, was sold out immediately upon its release.
This time, two designs (each with a three-color border) depicting strawberries and melons will be available, respectively. The “New Extra Super Melon Shortcake” set is made with fresh Shizuoka muskmelons.
The two sets are also available for eat-in use at Coffee Shop SATSUKI (weekdays only from February 3 to 14).
In addition, for a limited time of 5 days, a 5 chocolate box “SATSUKI CHOCOLATE” in collaboration with Pierre Hermé Paris and a handkerchief set will also be available (February 10-14). This set includes a choice of two types of handkerchiefs, and is recommended as a gift for yourself, a loved one, or as a Valentine’s Day gift.
