Terakoya will open “Chiikawa Mogu Honpo Kawagoe Store,” a goods store based on the theme of “Chiikawa” and “Mogu (eat),” on February 20 in Kawagoe Confectionery Yokocho, Saitama Prefecture.
Designed with artwork inspired by kurazukuri (storehouse) architecture and confectioner’s alley, the store also features a photo spot with Chiikawas and a jinrikisha (rickshaw). Japanese accessories, sweets, and goods centering on Chiikawas, Hachiwares, and rabbits will be sold.
As a commemorative gift to celebrate the opening, purchases of 2,000 yen or more including tax will receive one clear card (4 types) at random, and purchases of 8,000 yen or more will receive one layered acrylic stand.
To avoid crowding from February 20 to March 2, when the store opens, admission will be restricted by time of day through advance reservations made on a first-come, first-served basis using the LINE app.
