Discount on JRE POINT “Shinkansen e-Ticket” for long distance only within JR East service area. Usually 12,110 points are reduced to 8,000 points.

East Japan Railway Company (JR East) is conducting the “Spring Travel with Shinkansen e-Ticket (JRE POINT Reward)” campaign! Shinkansen e-Ticket (JRE POINT Privilege) for Spring Travel” campaign. The period of use is from March 17 to 31.

The number of points required to exchange JRE POINT for Shinkansen e-tickets (JRE POINT Privilege), which can be exchanged for Shinkansen e-tickets, is limited to long-distance use (401 km or more) within JR East’s service area, with 8,000 points instead of the usual 12,110 points.

The applicable trains are Hayabusa, Yamabiko (Tohoku Shinkansen), Komachi (Akita Shinkansen), and Tsubasa (Yamagata Shinkansen). For trains departing from Tokyo/Ueno, eligible stations are Kurikoma-Kogen Station to Shin-Aomori Station (Tohoku Shinkansen), Morioka Station to Akita Station (Akita Shinkansen), and Shinjo Station (Yamagata Shinkansen).

Points can be redeemed from 10:00 a.m. one month prior to the boarding date until 4 minutes before departure or 23:24 on the boarding date. Points cannot be redeemed between 0:50 and 5:00 a.m. because the JRE POINT system is not in operation during these hours.
