JR East Service Creation (J-Creation), JR Tokai Retailing Plus (JR-PLUS), and JR West Food Service Net (FSN) will release “Sujata Ice Cream (Okayama Prefecture) Shinkansen Ice Cream (Okayama Prefecture)” will go on sale on March 15. The price is 450 yen.
The ice cream is made with Okayama-grown Shine Muscat and is said to offer a change in flavor from hard to melt-in-your-mouth, as well as the richness of Sujata ice cream and the refreshing flavor of the Shine Muscat.
Following Zunda (the first round) and Uji green tea (the second round), the attendants and Shinkansen pursers from the three companies were the main proposers of the third round of flavors inspired by the western Japan area. After discussions and tastings among the candidates, the Shine Muscat flavor was selected.
